My name is Sara Estes and I work for Youth Dynamics in Great Falls, Montana. I am contacting you to discuss our fundraiser that we are putting together here in town.
We are a non-profit organization throughout the state of Montana that provides youth and their families with services in the mental health area as well as in our foster homes. Our mission is to provide family focused behavioral health treatment founded on the principles of an actively caring culture in which people can realize their full potential. Not every child needs the same type or intensity of services. We offer a wide range of programs to help youth address problem behaviors and make progress toward goals. We primarily serve youth with an SED (severely emotionally disturbed) diagnosis, such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression, or Reactive Attachment Disorder. Youth and families needing less intense services may participate in mentoring, counseling, case management, or in-home support. For a higher level of care, therapeutic foster care and therapeutic group homes may be used.
We are currently in the process of putting together a fundraiser for our organization in Great Falls. As a non- profit, we are not always able to have access to the funds needed to support the children and families that we serve in our community and outlying areas. The fundraiser is going to be a silent auction/raffle and we are hoping to incorporate either a dinner or dinner theater to go along with it. The fundraiser is to help us provide our families and children with the tools and resources for them to be successful in their daily lives in the home and community settings. With the money raised from the fundraiser, we will be able to supply these families and their children with weighted blankets, vests, tools to help with self-regulation as well as books to provide them with different techniques to help understand what they are going through. Along with the tools and resources, we are hoping to be able to send some children that we serve to camps throughout the summer or be able to help the families pay for extra-curricular activities that they normally could not afford.
With your donation, whether it be monetary or something we are able to auction off, you will be helping not only with our fundraiser but also with the children and the families we serve by allowing us to purchase and supply them with needed tools and resources. The fundraiser event is going to be happening around the end of May/June 2017. We have not set an actual date yet, as we are still attempting to find a venue that would be willing to work with us and aide us in our fundraiser.
