Next week, Great Falls Neighborhood Council #4 will hold their monthly meeting, and the Council of Councils will host their January meeting. Below is a brief summary of the meetings:
Great Falls Citizens Council (also known as the Council of Councils) January meeting takes place on Tuesday, January 25 at 7 pm in the Civic Center Gibson Room. Each of the 9 Neighborhood Councils will be represented along with 2 City Commission members. Agenda items include Fireworks, Police Department Update, Legal Department Update on new ordinances, and election of officers. Neighborhood Council #4's (NC#4) monthly meeting occurs on Thursday, January 27 at 6:30 pm at the Heritage Baptist Church, 900 52nd Street North. Agenda items* include Good Neighbor Award presentation, election of officers, Traffic Study on 36th Street 4th Ave., and Neighborhood Watch & other neighborhood concerns discussion with Lt. Munkres. In Great Falls, there are currently 9 Neighborhood Councils. Their purpose is to serve the citizens of Great Falls by providing a direct link to City government within the neighborhoods. Each Council is made up of 5 members who were elected by the voters in that Council area.
