City Manager Names New Public Works Director

City Manager Greg Doyon is pleased to announce the appointment of Christoff (Chris) Gaub as the City of Great Falls' new Public Works Director. Mr. Gaub will begin his role on November 1, 2022. Deputy City Manager Chuck Anderson is currently serving as the interim Public Works Director.
Mr. Gaub served in the United States Air Force for 28 years before retiring and returning to his home state of Montana. During his military career, he gained extensive experience in public works administration, management, and communications. Mr. Gaub most recently served as the Director of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection at the United States Air Force District of Washington Headquarters. He is also a returning member of the Great Falls community, as he was stationed at Malmstrom Air Force Base from May 2014 to June 2015 as the Deputy Mission Support Group Commander.
His academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Architecture from Montana State University, a Master of Military Operational Art and Science from Air University, a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Montana State University.
"We're excited to welcome Chris to the City of Great Falls. His knowledge of Great Falls and Malmstrom Air Force Base is an advantage to him and a benefit to the City. Chris has a varied background in all things engineering, project management, and design. Most importantly, his leadership and communication skills are honed and will greatly benefit the department, the organization, and the community," stated City Manager Greg Doyon.
"I'm looking forward to serving the citizens of Great Falls by utilizing the leadership skills, and the public works experience I developed during my career in the U.S. Air Force," stated Mr. Gaub. "As a Bozeman native and MSU Bobcat, I'm so thrilled to be back home in Big Sky Country."
