City Sanitation Holiday Schedule

The City of Great Falls Sanitation Division will observe the following holidays in 2024:

REGULAR SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEKS OF:

Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Mon., January 15, 2024 - On Schedule

Presidents' Day - Mon., February 19, 2024 - On Schedule

Memorial Day - Mon., May 27, 2024 - On Schedule

Independence Day - Thurs., July 4, 2024 - On Schedule

Labor Day - Mon., September 2, 2024 - On Schedule

Columbus Day - Mon., October 14, 2024 - On Schedule

Election Day - Tues., November 5, 2024 - On Schedule

Veteran's Day - Mon., November 11, 2024 - On Schedule

Thanksgiving Day - Thurs., November 28, 2024 - On Schedule

SERVICE WILL BE ONE DAY DELAYED FOR THESE HOLIDAY WEEKS:

                                             Christmas Day - Wed., December 25, 2024 - Delayed 1 day for Wed, Thurs, Fri

                                             New Year's Day - Wed., January 1, 2025 - Delayed 1 day for Wed, Thurs, Fri

If service is delayed due to a holiday, it only affects the day of the holiday and the days following it during the same calendar week.  Delayed service will not carry on to the following week.

City Codes:

     8.8.060 - Containers - Refuse - Garbage Wrapping Requirements:

All garbage placed in residential refuse containers shall be wrapped with paper or plastic

     8.8.080 - Containers - Rubbish Accumulation:

Extraordinary accumulations of rubbish shall be placed for collection in appropriate containers.  Tree trimmings may be placed for collection outside of a container, provided such trimmings are secured in bundles that do not exceed seventy-five (75) pounds in weight and do not exceed four (4) feet in length
