Community Development Council
Creation
Resolution 7401 in 1979, and amended by Resolution 8923 in 1998, and again by Resolution 9128 in 2000.
Purpose
Reviews CDBG funding applications and makes recommendations to the City Commission concerning funding from the City's annual Community Development Block Grant.

Ten members appointed at-large by the City Commission.

Three year terms.
Meeting Schedule
Meets on demand, generally three or four evenings in February/March. For 2010, the meetings are February 16, February 17, and March 2. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held in the Rainbow Room of the Civic Center.
Residency Requirements
Members must live within the city limits. Persons of low and moderate income and disabled citizens or their representatives are encouraged to apply for membership.

*Resolution 9484 (pdf) stipulates: "Whereas, this Resolution will apply to all Boards and Commissions unless State Law is more restrictive…" and, "It is the policy of the City Commission…maximum uninterrupted length of service on any one Board or Committee shall be two (2) consecutive terms, exclusive of the time served on any unexpired term, for each person appointed…" and, "…all terms shall begin on the date of appointment or as specified by Ordinance."
